Designed for a variety of applications where high energy handling capabilities are crucial, the A Series of non-inductive, ceramic composite resistors comes in standard ratings from 2.5W to 5.5W. Resistance values range from 1 ohm to 15 kiloohms in standard 10% tolerance (5% available on request). The resistors also offer high joule ratings starting at 400 joules for the 2.5W types and ranging to 2800 joules for the 5.5W size. They’re designed for use in motor drives, UPS and other power conversion systems and are suitable in any application that’s subject to surges, high peak power, impulse energy, or inrush current limiting. Their non-inductive nature also lends them to high-frequency applications.
