With an outside diameter of 2.5”, the HS25 industrial-grade hollow-shaft encoder is designed to accommodate standard motor shafts of 5/8” diameter. The unit is rugged and sealed for use in industrial environments—tthe encoder carries an environmental rating of NEMA 4 and IP65. The HS25 encoder can be operated up to 85°C and has special options that allow installation on shafts up to 3/4”. A compact, anti-rotation tether mount is another feature of the HS25. The tether block-and-pin is said to make installation more simple and reliable than the more conventional tether-arm bracket. The HS25 hollow-shaft encoder is designed for use with heavy-duty industrial motors, as well as space-critical applications in the machine vision, robotics, packaging, web control, and machine tool industries.
