A new family of dual MOSFET gate driver ICs features higher current and improved noise immunity specs. Utilizing a unique combination of bipolar and MOSFET output stages, the UCC37323/4/5 drivers provide 4A peak current capability during both peak supply voltage and the MOSFETÕs ÒMiller PlateauÓ region of the switching cycle. This is said to make the deviceÕs current two to three times higher than the closest competitor. The drivers are designed for a variety of applications with bias voltages of 15V or less, such as low-voltage synchronous rectification dc/dc converters and fractional horsepower brushless motors. The UCC37323 has a dual inverting configuration; the -24, dual non-inverting; and the -25, one inverting and one non-inverting. Pricing starts at $0.99 each/1,000 for SOIC and PDIP-8 versions and $1.09 for PowerPad MSOPs. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 477-8924 ext. 4500.
