Targeting medical and other applications where surviving many autoclave cycles is critical, the company's line of autoclaveable, brushless dc motors provide successful performance even after going through 1000 autoclave cycles. The motors are available in sizes 5, 8, and 10, with operating voltages from 12 to 48 vdc and speeds from 3,000 to 100,000 rpm. Gearheads are available in sizes 5 and 8 with ratios of 3:1 to 256:1.
The motors can also be extensively customized and control electronics are available for all of them. Typical applications include bone-cutting devices, drills, orthoscopic shavers, reciprocating saws, surgical tools, reamers, opthalmic instruments, dental devices, orthopedic and cranial drills, and oscillating saws.
