A new high power density compact servo drive has been designed with advanced motion control capabilities including precision current and velocity, as well as fully programmable intelligent position control modes. Three new Harmonica models operate at 5A, 8A, and 12A at 60 Vdc. Network communication can be achieved through RS 232 and CANopen protocols. With 750W of continuous output power in a package measuring 3.23" x 1" x 2.95", the Harmonica drive’s abilities include sinusoidal vector control, trapezoidal vector control, and six step and DC commutation topologies. All models use the company’s Composer software suite that takes the mechanical system’s signature and implements the optimal servo control algorithm. This tool lets the user program and implement full motion capabilities of the amplifier. The Harmonica meets UL-508c safety provisions and the relevant CE regulations.
