Poised for cost-sensitive, thermal-management applications, the Gryphon ac and dc axial fans integrate a protection feature that automatically prevents damage to the motor and electronics, even if the propeller is physically jammed while the unit is powered. The dc fans include a two-pulse tachometer with an open collector signal that provides a method for measuring fan speed. It allows a host system to know the speed and health of a fan at any time during normal operation. Both ac and dc components range in size from 25 mm to 120 mm, and the dc fans are available in 12V, 24V, and 48V versions. All ac versions are rated at 115V or 230V, compatible with either 50 Hz or 60 Hz sources. The ac models come standard with fitted terminals and are available with an optional plug and cord set.
