Enclosed Speed Controls Take Little Space & Configure Easily

Aug. 1, 1999

The UPM unfiltered and WPM filtered dc brush-type, enclosed speed controls are well-suited for tight spaces. They’re also said to be easily configured using DIP switches located inside the enclosure to simplify setup of IR compensation and current limit. Both feature a single-turn potentiometer with a large knob on the front panel for easy adjustment and clear indication of motor speed. Trim pots on the inside allow precise adjustment of minimum and maximum speed and more.A NEMA Type I enclosure protects users from high voltages and the controls from falling debris. Model UPM controls 90 vdc motors rated to 1/5 hp. Two WPM models drive 130 vdc motors rated to 1/6 hp (Model 0790) and 1/2 hp (Model 0791).
