Optimized for motor-control and smart-sensing tasks, the ADuC7128 microcontroller packs a 32-bit/44-MIPS ARM7 RISC core, 12-bit/1-Msamples/s a/d converter, and 126 KB of flash memory into a 9 mm x 9 mm 64-LFCSP with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. Peripherals include a 6-channel PWM with H-bridge mode, a quadrature encoder, 21-MHz direct digital synthesizer, and a low-pass filter that generates a sine wave up to 1 MHz. The device provides I/V control, making it viable for motor control applications, plus the PWMs are also useable as general purpose 16-bit PWMs to provide additional d/a outputs, high-frequency clocks, or set point control. Other features include a comparator, temperature sensor, PLA, and several I/O interfaces including two UARTs. An 80-pin LQFP option, the ADuC7129, offers additional GPIO and an external memory interface.
