The company's miniature magnetic rotary encoders are capable of achieving speeds in excess of 30,000 rpm with a measurement accuracy of better than 0.7°. Available in industry-standard absolute, incremental and linear-output configurations, the encoders use a unique non-contact design to eliminate the need for seals or bearings. Absolute encoders provide a 9-bit (512-count) resolution in parallel or serial formats and incremental encoders include digital, analog, linear-voltage, and linear-current modes. The linear voltage and current options can be used in standard potentiometer applications. For more details, call Susan Wilm at RENISHAW INC., Hoffman Estates, IL. (847) 286-9953.
