The all-digital Junus brush servoamplifier reduces the performance gap between brush and brushless motor positioning systems. The amplifier provides powerful CME-2 programming software to simplify system setup and commissioning. It can be operated in the torque mode or the IR-compensated velocity mode, which eliminates the need for a tachometer on the motor. While the device's current loop bandwidth is 3 kHz, the carrier frequency is 20 kHz. Ripple current frequency is 40 kHz. Four Junus models are available. Versions #090-10 and #090-20 operate on 90-V supplies and deliver 5 A continuous (10 A peak) and 10 A continuous (20 A peak), respectively. Two higher-voltage versions, #180-10 and #180-20, operate on 180-V supplies and deliver 5 A continuous (10 A peak) and 10 A continuous (20 A peak), respectively. Prices range from $275 for the #090-10 to $320 for the #180-20, for quantities up to 10 units.
