Low-Cost Micro PLCs Install Quickly & Easily

The DL05 DirectLogic programmable logic controller (PLC) is claimed as the first and only $99 PLC in its class. The unit's removable connector enables users to pre-wire their connections, which reduces downtime by allowing faster installation and replacement. Also included are eight inputs, six outputs, a powerful instruction set, diagnostic and communication LEDs, and Windows-based programming.The surface- or DIN rail-mountable PLC has a footprint of 4.75" wide x 3.75" high x 2.5" deep. Six different versions are available, including ac/dc input and output and relay output types. Two built-in RS-232 ports enable communication with operator interface devices, such as the company's Optimate operator panels, as well as with other PLCs.
