For use in motor drives, braking, and snubber applications, IR-H series of high power, metal-clad wirewound resistors comes in nine power ratings from 60W to 500W with values from 0.1 ohms to 6.8 kiloohms. Dielectric strength options are 1500, 3500, 4500 and 5400 vac. The thin, extruded-aluminum housing provides good heat dissipation and installation in narrow spaces. The resistors can be stacked for very high power loads.
