Expanding the company's WSL Power Metal Strip line, the WSL0805 resistor is rated at 0.125W and comes in a 0805-sized package. The device is capable of providing current sensing in such products as cell phones and pagers, disk drive motor controls, and a wide range of automotive applications. The new device is claimed to be the first resistor to combine the 0805 package size with resistance values as low as 10 milliohms and ±1% tolerances. Operating temperature range is rated at -65°C to +170°C and the temperature coefficient is ±75 ppm/°C. Sample and production quantities are available now with lead times of four to five weeks.
