Intended to replace the company's Tattletale Model 8, the Tattletale Model 8v2 data logger/controller provides stackable pin and socket bus connectors and is said to offer fast sampling rates, extensive control functions and sophisticated computational capability. It uses a 68332 processor and operates at dynamically-adjustableclock rates from 160KHz to 16MHz. A built-in time processor unit controls two timers and sixteen I/O lines, each individually programmable for discrete I/O, frequency, period or pulse width counting/measurement, stepper/servo motor control, or auxiliary UARTs. Other features include eight 12-bit analog channels, a sampling rate up to 100 kHz, a 200-µA power drain, three QSPI synchronous serial channels, and flash memory expansion up to 440 MB. Pricing is $495.
