Covering a 1/2 to 3 hp range and well-suited for use in HVAC and various industrial applications, including those required to operate in hazardous and/or wash-down environments, the ACS 160 series of self-contained, sealed micro drives meet NEMA 4 (IP65) standards and employ a modular design that allows options to be mounted integral to the design. The drives span a wide, 380-500 Vac (three phase configuration) input voltage range, are able to respond to input signal changes in as little as 5 ms, and are available with or without a built-in RFI filter and for either wall mount or IEC motor mount installation.
Other features of the microprocessor-based PWM drives include a dynamic brake chopper, electromechanical brake control (no external time and relay control needed), dc bus choke, pulse encoder, and Modbus serial communications. The units also come equipped with built-in stall prevention and programmable over- and under-voltage control features and carry UL, cUL and CE approvals.
