Spring-Set Brakes Deliver Power-Off Hold And Emergency Stop
Designed for power-off static holding applications and occasional emergency stopping functions, a line of Spring-Set Brake Modules mount on the front of a motor in applications such as robotic arms, assemblies on vertical ball screws, and railroad crossing arms. The mounting scheme makes these brake modules suitable for retrofitting an existing motor or incorporating them in custom-designed machinery. Offered in four models, the modules are available in 24 or 90 Vdc ratings with holding torque capacities ranging from 7 to 100 ft.lbs.
Three NEMA frame sizes can be outfitted with these modules: 56C, 143TC/ 145TC and 182TC/184TC. Custom configurations are also available with special voltage ratings, torque capacities, and mounting schemes.
