Introduced as a standalone, no-bus version of the FPGA-based Anything I/O card series, the 7I60 I/O card provides 96 I/O bits and four serial ports: two RS-232 and two RS-485. One RS-232 port is used for downloading configurations to flash EEPROM on the card for FPGA configuration. With standard I/O module rack compatible pinouts, four 50-pin connectors provide access to the 96 I/O bits. Enhancing the card’s versatility, several I/O cards are available including a four-axis 3A H bridge, two-axis 3A stepper-motor driver, an analog servo amplifier interface, eight-channel RS-422/485 interface, and a debug LED card. Configuration files for the 7I60 include simple- and smart-remote I/O, four- and eight-axis servo control, four- and eight-axis microstepping control and more, including a VHDL source.
