Medical equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, robotics, and syringe pumps are among the uses for a new brushless DC servomotor actuator. The compact servomotor is 2" in length and utilizes a precision ball screw and low profile encoder to achieve high linear speed and closed loop control. Compatible with all three-phase brushless DC motor amplifiers, the NEMA size 23 motor also features permanently lubricated ball bearings and a dynamically balanced rotor to reduce audible noise and vibration and extend motor life. Other features include a peak torque of up to 80 oz.-in. for fast acceleration and speeds of up to 5,000 rpm at a rated torque of 18 oz.-in. EADMOTORS, Dover, NH. (603) 742-3330.
