Designed for use with motion controllers from National Instruments, the C-809.40 servo-amplifier motion interface provides four axes of amplification, conditioning, and analog and PWM conversion to drive open- and closed-loop dc-servomotor stages. The unit also converts differential encoder signals into the single-ended signals required by NI controllers. Its automatic analog and PWM conversion supports linear and rotary stages and actuators using either type of drive. Promoting ease of use and installation, all motor power, encoder signals, and limit/reference switch information is provided via front-panel connectors. Other features include compatibility with piezo motors and a 37-pin I/O interface. PHYSIK INSTRUMENTE LP, Auburn, MA. (508) 832-3456.
