Housed in aluminum cases providing IP65 protection, the SCS10 series single-turn, parallel-output absolute rotary encoders are capable of connecting directly to discrete input PLCs. They specify a 13-bit resolution and include inputs for latching, preset, and user-selectable counting direction. A preset function allows the encoder to be set to zero at any time. They are available with a push-pull parallel interface, 6 mm or 10 mm shaft diameters, a maximum shaft speed to 6,000 rpm, and the ability to withstand axial/radial shaft loads up to 40 lbs.
