The LPD4 is a two-phase, permanent magnet (PM), micro-sized stepping motor with an outside diameter of just 4 mm and an overall axial length of 8.3 mm. Designed for use in a range of medical, optical, and fiberoptic communications applications, the motor produces a pull-out torque of 11 milli-oz-in at 500 pps. Other features of the 3 Vdc motor are a step angle of 22.5°, holding torque of 23 milli-oz-in, and maximum unloaded pull-in speed of 1,600 pps or 6,000 rpm. Pricing is $3.85 each/1,000.
