Designed for applications that are sensitive to torque ripple, the 000308-02 low cogging, brushless-dc kit motor promises smooth running characteristics that are desirable for high-resolution printing, scanning, and positioning chores. At 60 rpm, the motor produces a cogging torque of no greater than 1 oz.-in. It relies on a proprietary encapsulation process that protects the motor windings in harsh environments. Despite its 3.6" x 1.25" footprint, the motor creates a peak torque of 200 oz.-in. A variety of electrical and mechanical options are also available, including windings for specific power requirements, drive-specific commutation, and custom mounting configurations.
