Unveiled as the industry’s first SRM-SPM power modules for driving two-phase switched reluctance motors, the FCAS20DN60BB and FCAS30DN60BB integrate two HVICs, one LVIC, four NPT IGBTs, four fast recovery diodes, two bootstrap diodes, a thermistor, and various protection functions. In 45 mm x 28 mm SIPs, the modules forecast space savings in the realm of 40%. Other features include control circuit under-voltage protection without fault signal output, low-side UV and short-circuit protection through an external shunt resistor with fault signal output, and a 1.5 kVrms isolation voltage rating. Prices for the 600V/20A FCAS20DN60BB and 600V/30A FCAS30DN60BB are $16.38 and $17.94 each/100. FAIRCHILD SEMICONDUCTOR, San Jose, CA. (800) 341-0392.
