Newport’s terahertz (THz) pulse-generation kit employs a sub-35-fs Ti:sapphire amplifier system and integrates with a Ti:sapphire amplifier to generate terahertz pulses. The kit consists of standard Newport optics, opto-mechanics, manual stages, and CONEX-based motorized components. The 800-nm Ti:sapphire laser pulse focuses into ambient air to generate the air plasma that produces THz pulses. Damage threshold is inconsequential since air replenishes itself from pulse to pulse.
