Sealed to IP65 levels, the Series 5707 power-entry module prevents outside contaminants from entering the equipment, thereby opening a wider range of applications for detachable power. In addition to dirt, dust, and other fine particles, the module stands up to sprays, splashes, and jets of non-aggressive liquids. A seal at the panel opening consists of a rubber lining, fixed into a groove around the metal flange. Front- or rear-mount versions are available, and special screws guarantee sealing at the mounting holes. The inlet portion meets IEC 60320-1, style C14 or C18 requirements and combines with a 1- or 2-pole fuse holder plus a standard or medical EMC filter rated up to 8A at 250 Vac. Fuse holders are independent of each other and accept 5 mm x 20 mm fuses. Screw caps employ O-rings to provide a seal between the cap and holder. Other features include pre-wired electrical connections using quick-connect terminals. Pricing starts at about $14 each/100 with delivery times from stock to six weeks.
