The Amphe-Base series connectors deliver power to backplane assemblies and bus bars. Available in two- or three-position patterns, the parts carry up to 50 A per position with 8-AWG wire and 100 A with 4-AWG wire. The connectors have molded-in contact retention with no special tools or external clips required for socket contact installation. Users simply push the crimped socket into the rear of the cavity until the socket locks into place. The connectors are made of injection-molded UL94 V-0 rated polycarbonate. This series also incorporates the RADSOK 6-mm socket with wire wells ranging from 12 AWG to 4 AWG, depending on the current requirements of the application. A three-position rectangular connector with three 6-mm RADSOK sockets costs $12.86 each in 500-piece quantities. Delivery is in six weeks ARO.
