The Micro line of circular plastic connectors (CPCs) features cable-sealing protection up to IP 67 and overmolding for wire-strain relief. The connectors are available in two shell sizes, accommodating one to seven contacts in the smaller version and eight to 19 contacts in the larger. They are screw-machined for high reliability and are available in a spring-probe arrangement or a precision pin-and-socket design. The spring-probe contact handles up to 5000 mating cycles, and the pin-and-socket contacts are suited for up to 500 mating cycles. Both contact styles incorporate gold-plated finishes. A seven-position Micro CPC with 28-AWG jacketed, nonshielded cable costs $8.25 each in 25,000-piece quantities.
