These composites of plastic resins and thermally conductive additives are designed to overcome the base resins' natural insulation properties and to provide improved conduction of heat. Konduit compounds are said to provide 10 to 50 times more thermal conductivity that many other materials. Applications are found in laptop computers, transformers and other electrically heated systems. Two groups of material provide 2W/m-°K or 10W/m-°K thermal conductivity.
