By using a F-crimp wire termination method, the Ultra-Pod .250 series Faston Tab terminals can be crimped to wire and inserted into the insulation housing, eliminating the need for post-insulation processes. The fold-over tab design extends the applicator tool life for terminations and improves strand capture due to a more accommodating wire barrel. The Ultra-Pods are suitable for quick-connect and power I/O applications in major appliances, HVAC equipment, power supplies, trucks, and power lawn and garden equipment. They connect to 0.250" x 0.032" receptacles and accept 18 to 10 AWG wire with insulation diameters up to 0.200". Contacts are made of tin-plated brass, and the terminal's nylon housing meets UL 94V-2 flammability requirements. Suitable for solid or stranded wire, the contacts are rated for 600 Vac. Pricing is $0.11 each/4K. TYCO ELECTRONICS, Harrisburg, PA. (800) 522-6752.
