Offered as an improved, 500W handheld welder, the Model H-520 is specifically designed for staking, inserting and spot welding applications. The 20-kHz, 1.5-lb. Handgun is supplied with an integral 0.5" diameter titanium front driver with a replaceable flat-face tip. A microprocessor-based timer allows weld times from 0.1s to 9.9s. The microprocessor also provides digital amplitude control. Other features include overload protectors for both the power supply and for the converter. The power supply has a standard DB-9 I/O connector that can interface with automated machines via a PC or PLC. The connector allows the user to control amplitude and ultrasonics on/off times, as well as reset overloads.
