Compliant with the PICMG MicroTCA specification, the company's backplane signal connectors and power-input connectors include a press-fit, vertical card edge connector that provides 170 contacts on a 0.75-mm pitch. They enable AdvancedMC cards to interface directly to a backplane, accommodating speeds up to 10 Gb/s. A surface-mount version is also available that supports differential signals at rates up to 12.5 Gb/s. Both versions of the connector are compatible with the PCB-connector footprints set by the MicroTCA specification. For more information, call FCI USA INC., Etters, PA. (800) 237-2374.
