A line of electrically-conductive, pressure-sensitive tapes is available for static dissipation, interconnection and shielding applications. The tapes use acrylic adhesives that are said to demonstrate long-term aging stability and resistance to environmental stress. They combine good bond strength with high tack and are highly conductive in the Z-axis, exhibiting 10 milliohms/sq. in. volume resistance for electrical grounding purposes.ARclad 8001, a high-tack, double-coated, pressure-sensitive adhesive, demonstrates excellent conductivity in the X, Y and Z axes. It’s said to offer stable conductivity while maintaining excellent adhesive strength, even while under mechanical and environmental stress. The supported tape is easy to handle and readily bonds to rounded and irregular surfaces. As a result, it works well as a low-current electrical interconnection. The material comes in single or dual release liner systems.
