Enlarging the company’s USB connector family are two mini USB receptacles that offer more options when smaller solutions are necessary. Groomed for surface-mount applications, they are reportedly smaller and lighter than existing USB connectors for portable and handheld devices. They feature five pins, which includes one ID pin, and a 0.8-mm pitch. Both receptacles are fully compliant with current USB 2.0 specifications and come packaged on tape and reel with 700 parts per reel.
