Developed for overmolding and multi-component molding applications, the soft-touch Desmopan thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) are available in a shore range from 60A to 80A. Three grades, DP-1060A, DP-3370A, and DP-3380A, are based on polyester polyurethane and are suitable for products that require either a soft and durable grip or a hard/soft combination. The TPUs are manufactured using the company's patented process that allows them to naturally adhere to a wide variety of substances. These include polycarbonate, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, acrylic, copolyester, nylon compounds, and a range of polymer blends. They are also reported as being highly resistant to fuels, oils, and chemicals. For more details, contact BAYER CORP., Pittsburgh, PA. (800) 622-6004.
