The Thermofoil heaters combine Kapton insulation with polyimide adhesive to achieve a temperature rating of 250° C, which is 50° C higher than previously possible. This AP construction provides 80W per square inch for fast warm-up and rapid response to changing heat loads. AP heaters are well suited for vacuum use with outgassing less than 0.01% collected volatile condensable material. These elements stand up to most processing and cleaning chemicals, making them excellent for ultra-pure processes such as semiconductor processing and test, avionics, packaging equipment, and graphics processors.
