Additions to the 285 Series POWER CAGE CLAMP spring-type terminals include the 285-150 (2/0) and 285-135 (2 AWG) terminals. According to the company, the addition of the 285-150 makes the series the only complete line of spring-type, rail-mounted terminal blocks handling wire sizes from AWG 22 to 4/0. Touch-safe, the terminals employ a two-conductor, feed-through block that provides safe and secure connections for all conductor types up to 200A and 600V. They feature a side-entry design, making them suitable for connecting large conductors in space-restricted areas such as switchgear cabinets. Termination involves one twist of a hex wrench (2/0 or 4/0) or screwdriver (2 AWG) to activate the spring and clamp then a push on the locking tab. A single rotation releases the latch, clamping the conductor in place. Other safety features include a shock protector for unused conductor entries, highly visible test-plug covers, and WMB/WSB marking tags for identification. WAGO CORP., Germantown, WI.
