The Vecoplus electroformed stencils are claimed to be ideal for fine and ultra-fine pitched SMT, BGA, and µBGA printing and materials applications. They feature smooth aperture walls, the ability to hold tight dimensional tolerances, and they allow the user to apply precisely the amount of solder paste or other materials. These nickel stencils are also said to be harder than stainless steel stencils, thereby extending their usable life to 1.5 to 3 times longer. The stencils come in thicknesses ranging from 10 µm to 200 µm on a maximum sheet size of 740 mm x 600 mm.
