The GTC-M rear-release connector is a reverse-style bayonet connector that incorporates hard dielectric inserts, rear-insertion/rear-release contacts, silicone grommets, interfacial seals, and metal clip contact retention. The metal clips used in the insert provide positive contact retention. Gold-plated crimp contacts are inserted in the rear of the connector with considerably less force than that required with conventional connectors with neoprene inserts. A captivated coupling nut assembly permits unmating without the rear accessories attached. The GTC-M connectors are available in contact sizes of 0, 4, 8, 12, 16, and 16S. Receptacles come in a variety of shell styles; plugs are available with or without right-angle elbow configurations. Pricing for a plug with a shell size of 18 and 19 pins starts at $36 in 50-unit quantities. A mating rear panel receptacle with a shell size of 18 and 19 pins starts at $42 in 50-unit quantities.
