The Model 11049 wire stripper and cutter is a compact, lightweight tool for stripping, cutting and gauging stranded wire in sizes from 18 to 8 AWG. The tool features six stripping holes, offering 20% more capacity than competing models with five holes.The tool’s six precision-ground stripping holes are designed for 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 AWG stranded wire. Metric size units are available in 6, 4, 2.5, 1.5 and 0.75 mm² versions. Also featured are easy-to-read gauge markings located on both sides of the tool, as well as shear-type blades.Designed with a narrow nose to fit into confined areas, the stripper is flat for easy carrying and storage. Its spring-loaded, self-opening action reduces user fatigue.
