A triple-layer, polyester film tape with flame-retardant acrylic adhesive, the 1350T-1 tape can be used as reinforced insulation in transformers. The tape meets the requirements of industry standards, including UL 1950 Safety of Information Technology Equipment and Electrical Business Equipment requirements. Made of three half-mil layers of polyester with acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive, wrapping this tape once around a transformer meets the three-layer standard without the effort of wrapping the transformer three times. Evaluations have produced 20% to 40% improvements in productivity. Benefits include inventory space reduction, no need to count wraps and efficient use of space in the transformer.
