Here we have a new multilayer dielectric anti-reflection coating with average reflectance of less than 0.75% from 350 nm to over 700 nm. Designated the /081, the coating extends 100 nm further than traditional broadband dielectric coatings, such as the industry-standard /078 HEBBAR coating. The /081 coating is useful in medical applications involving multiple laser sources. A single coating is purported to be able to handle virtually all of the medically important wavelengths without compromising performance. The /081 coating can be applied to most of the uncoated lenses, prisms, windows and other optical elements available in the company's catalog.
