The e-tag electronic data tags have been reduced in size from 6.5 mm thick x 13.5 mm in diameter to 3.3 mm thick x 10.7 mm in diameter. The new tags' weight also has been reduced from 1.6g to 1g.
The e-tags use coin-shaped contact memory buttons, contain no batteries, can be easily affixed to equipment, and are capable of storing data for up to 100 years at 25°C. Software is fully compatible with 32-bit Windows applications. Prices start from $11 each.
