The 5-mm Type 609 pluggable, spring-clamp terminal blocks are offered as a drop-in replacement for industry-standard, screw-type pluggable terminal blocks. They are available in wire-ready form and claims to be easy to terminate in a gas-tight connection. The devices are UL listed and meet VDE requirements. Other features of the blocks include tool-less operation, a wire range from 14 to 28 AWG, 250V at 15A rating, and a design that provides constant contact resistance and auto adjustment of spring force at each wire size. Type 609 terminal blocks come in two- to 24-pole versions and are delivered from stock to eight weeks.
