Intended for use in hard-disk drives, the ARclean DEV-8968 and DEV-8969 tapes both have a permanent, low-outgassing adhesive on one side and a cleanly strippable adhesive on the other. The tapeÕs permanent adhesive is exposed after removing a clear or white polyester release liner.The DEV-8968 has a 2-mm clear polyester film carrier and the DEV-8969 has a 2-mm white polyester carrier. In addition to being acrylic acid-free, which is said to reduce media fogging and contamination, the tapes also feature low total VOCs and low extractable ions.
