Meeting UL outdoor use requirements for solar panel applications, the WVL series of weatherproof wire-to-wire connectors is designed to withstand extreme moisture and ultra-violet exposure. The receptacle portion of the component includes an integral loop for attaching the connector to the support structure with a wire tie. To create a two-position connector, interlocking dovetails allow housings to be locked together. Voltage and current ratings are 600V ac/dc and 15A ac/dc, respectively, and operating temperature range is from -25°C to 90°C. Acceptable wire sizes are AWG 14 to 12. And a WVL connector kit includes the receptacle housing, plug-seal assembly, two retainers, four wire-seal O-rings, and a connector housing unlocking tool. JST CORP., Waukegan, IL. (800) 947-1110.
