The new 862 Series connectors are reported as a cost-effective and flexible alternative to traditional chassis-mount terminal blocks such as barrier and terminal strips. The connectors are available with voltage and current ratings of 300V/20A or 600V/5A and can terminate wire sizes from 20 to 12 AWG. Options include: mounting via snap-in mounting feet or self-tapping screw; pre-marked versions, custom marking, or write/print on marker strips; four connection points per pole; hands-free test points; and a ground contact for automatic grounding to the chassis. Additionally, the series employs the company's spring pressure connection technology, which allows solid wire or stranded wire with ferrules to be terminated by pushing the wire into the contact. Prices start at $58 per 100. WAGO, Germantown, WI. (800) 316-7245.
