A new low-profile power transistor socket has been designed to facilitate installation of JEDEC TO-3 NPN power transistors by eliminating the need to use insulated bushings. The TO-3 power transistor socket includes a collector strip terminal with 6-20 formed threads at either end of the socket to permit mounting ease. Nylon tops accommodate .030", .045", and .090" chassis thicknesses. Electro-plated, spring brass contacts accept .040" and .060" pins.
