Similar in size to SMA types, the QMA series connectors exploit an internal configuration with a snap-on interface that requires no tools for mating and un-mating. The connectors feature a sliding snap-lock mechanism that works by sliding the shell back and releasing to lock both connectors in place. This approach eliminates the space between connectors needed for tooling. After mating, the connectors can be rotated 360°. They handle frequencies up to 6 GHz and are available in straight- and right-angle, brass albaloy-plated bodies. Other features include Teflon insulation, spring copper-alloy outer contacts, and gold-plated pins. The series is available with a crimp on attachment for RG-58/U, LMR-195, RG-8/X, and LMR-240 cables. RF INDUSTRIES INC., San Diego, CA. (800) 233-1728.
