The Softtherm 86/200 material provides an ultra-soft, thermally conductive gap filling interface between hot PCB components and heat spreaders. Exhibiting a low 10 Shore 00 hardness, the material can cover multiple components with differing heights, contours, and planarity. It features an elastic, structurally secure silicone, filled with ceramic particles and retains its memory after compression, which enables reuse. Thermal resistance is 1.5 K/W and thermal conductivity is 1 W/mK. Additionally, the material functions in temperatures from -60°C to +200°C. Pricing starts at $0.10 for one-in-two parts measuring 0.5-mm thick and in high volume. MH&W INTERNATIONAL CORP., Mahwah, NJ. (201) 891-8800.
