Designed for 24-pin, 4 mm x 4 mm QFN packages with a 0.5-mm pitch, the DG-QFN24C-01 socket operates at bandwidths up to 40 GHz with less than 1 dB of insertion loss. The component dissipates up to several Watts without extra heat sinking and can handle up to 100W when using a custom heat sink. Contact resistance is typically 3 milliOhms per pin and the socket connects all pins and the optional center power pad with a 40-GHz bandwidth on all connections. The contactor withstands up to 100,000 insertions and operating temperature range is from -70?C to +200?C. Additionally, pin inductance and capacitance to ground both approach zero. Single-unit pricing for the DG-QFN24C-01 is $576. IRONWOOD ELECTRONICS, Burnsville, MN. (800) 404-0204.
